How do I log in via FTP with FileZilla?
FileZilla is a free program that you use to log in to your hosting account via FTP. This way you easily manage all files within your hosting account.

In the steps we use FileZilla for Mac, but FileZilla for Windows works exactly the same. So you can just follow these steps if you have Windows.
- The files for your primary domain always go into the public_html folder.
Steps
Step 1. Download FileZilla

Go to the FileZilla website.

Click Download FileZilla Client

Install FIleZilla.
Step 2. Connect with FileZilla
To connect to your hosting account via FIleZilla you can use two different methods:

Quick Connect:

Start FileZilla

You can now enter the following information::

Host: Enter your domain name if your domain name is already active, or enter the server address. The server address for normal hosting packages is 'wwwXX.totaalholding.nl' and premium hosting packages 'premiumXX.totaalholding.nl'. You replace "XX" with the number of the server where your hosting package is on.

Username: Your cPanel username or the username of the FTP account you created

Password: Your cPanel password or the password of the FTP account you created

Port: 21

You have successfully connected to your hosting account. You can now manage all files.
Via Site Manager

Start FileZilla
-
Click the menu-item File.

Click Site Manager.

Click New Site.

Give your connection a name

You can now enter the following information::

Host: Enter your domain name if your domain name is already active, or enter the server address. Protocol: FTP - FIle Transfer Protocol

Encryption: Use Explicit FTP over TLS if available

Logon Type: Normal

Username: Your cPanel username or the username of the FTP account you created

Password: Your cPanel password or the password of the FTP account you created

Click Connect.

You have successfully connected to your hosting account. You can now manage all files.
